Dr. Jean Bichara, Periodontist
I am a board-certified Periodontist who received my dental degree from New York University in 1992 & Periodontal Specialty Certificate from the University of Louisville; in 1997 with a master degree in Oral Biology.
My extensive training in the field of dental implants and bone regeneration, as well as my participation in multiple published clinical studies, allow me to be an integral part of Champagne Smiles’s team in creating the smiles and achieving the functions that his patients desire. One of my greatest enjoyments is to see the transformation that patients go through and finally watch the thankful look and appreciation on their faces.
On a personal note, I am married to my lovely wife Raghan. We had the blessing of celebrating the birth of our twins Joel and Tia in January, 2009. They are the joy of our life. What I love about our practice is that everyone goes above and beyond to treat our patients well. It’s great to be a part of a wonderful dental team here at Champagne Smiles.
Lisa Palasciano, Financial Coordinator
One of the things I discovered early in my 20 years in the dental profession is that there is no such thing as a boring day. Since I consider myself a “people person,” interacting with such wonderful patients and co-workers on a daily basis is a blessing. I enjoy taking continuing education courses and recently completed a three-day workshop in Arizona on Practice Building and was happy to share the skills I acquired with my co-workers.
My husband Gary and I have a favorite expression which is “life is not a dress rehearsal,” which is why we try to live our lives to the fullest. We love traveling and taking long walks on the beach with our Miniature Schnauzer, Maggie.
Being a very active person, I am very fortunate to live close to the Jersey Shoreline. I either jog in the morning or ride my bike into Sandy Hook to watch the sunrise, and in the early evening I enjoy kayaking on the Navesink River during sunset.
I am also a New Jersey Licensed Realtor and spend much of my spare time selling homes near the Jersey Shore.
Amy Sandsjo, Dental Assistant
I began my career as a dental assistant in 1996. I furthered my education to achieve an RDA in 2000. We have helped so many wonderful patients and I look forward to helping more.
The light of my life, Callie, was born in 2007. We are very active and I enjoy watching the world through her eyes. A lot can be learned through the eyes of a child. She is inquisitive and curious to try new things, so she keeps me on my toes!
Vilma Bankauskas, Registered Dental Hygienist

I have been with my husband Erik for 21 years and we have been blessed with three children. Our oldest son Erik and twins Brooke and Mark. They keep me very busy and I love every minute of it.
Tonya Kozlik – Dental Assistant
I have been in the dental field since 2000. I started out as an assistant and have filled all but two chairs the doctor and the hygienist! I keep my dental assisting licenses to help out any place I can. Here at Champagne Smiles I am the scheduling coordinator. I have two amazing children, Rachel Ashley who is 16 and Sawyer Marshall James who is my lil ball of energy 5 year old. As a family any time is a good time but a great time is together at the beach!
I joined the Champagne Smiles team early 2015. I bring many years experince and advanced education. Graduating from Ocean County Vocational schoool in 1998, gave me a start in this field. I have enjoyed educating patients to understand their dental needs. Continuing my dental education allows me to give perspective to patients in understanding how their teeth function as well as look good.
Kelly – Front Desk Receptionist
My hobbies are hiking, camping and enjoying the great outdoors with family and friends. I have worked in the dental/medical field since 2000 as a billing & coding expert or certified medical assistant. I have been employed with Champagne Smiles since October 2014 as the billing expert as well as front desk receptionist. It has been a blessing for me to be employed with Champagne Smiles and working alongside a team that is well educated and compassionate. Our goal in our office is to make all of our patients have a pleasant experience and feel relaxed when going to the dentist. I have a 9 year old son Sean who is truly amazing and thoughtful with everything he does. He keeps me focused and always reminds me to “reach for the stars the sky is the limit.” In my spare time I try to spend it with Sean playing games, parks, skating, baking, beach or our favorite taking a cruise to new islands every year.
